Introduction for global programme students
All international and Swedish students taking the Global Master's and Bachelor's Programmes are invited to our Introduction Week on 26-30 August 2019, containting important arrival and preparatory information for your coming life in Stockholm and studies at Karolinska Institutet.
The five-day programme begins with a basic introduction course to the Swedish language (for international students). If you cannot attend this first Swedish course, you can join an evening course during your first semester.
Students who do not wish to take the Swedish course are encouraged to join the activities on Thursday and Friday.

You are welcome to register for the Introduction Week if you have accepted the offer. The registration link to Introduction Week will be sent to your e-mail via our monthly newsletter for admitted students (in June) together with other important information, so do check your inbox frequently, including your SPAM filter.

A mandatory programme introduction for students admitted to all programmes at Karolinska Institutet will be held on 2 September 2019, unless otherwise notified by your programme. If you cannot attend the mandatory programme introduction, please contact your programme.
You will receive information about the time and location of the introduction in the welcome letter from your programme director, which will be sent out during the spring semester. At the programme introduction you will be given a general overview of the programme and a schedule for the first semester.
Freestanding course students should contact their teachers for information on roll call. Contact information is available on the programme and course websites.
Individual introduction sessions
For exchange students arriving during other parts of the semester (not in September or January), a shorter individual introduction session is arranged with your international coordinator at Karolinska Institutet.
