International Conference on Good Psychiatric Management for Personality Disorders, May 4-5, 2026

Welcome to the second International Conference on Good Psychiatric Management (GPM) for Personality Disorders, taking place May 4–5, 2026, at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. This event brings together experts, trainers, and clinicians from around the world who are interested in an empirically validated treatment approach to borderline personality disorder (BPD).

About GPM for Personality Disorders

GPM is a generalist approach to managing a prevalent, disabling, and sometimes fatal—but treatable—diagnosis. It is designed to be "good enough" for most clinicians and most patients. The model offers guidelines that help mental health professionals become more confident and effective in treating individuals with BPD and other personality disorders.

About the conference

During the two-day conference on May 4th and 5th 2026, participants will attend lectures, talks, and discussions led by experts in their respective fields. The conference will include presentations of research in GPM and associated generalist treatments as well as workshops on implementations of GPM in different contexts.

Example topics include:

  • GPM for complex care of patients with multiple disorders
  • GPM as a primary care approach for patients with BPD
  • GPM-group for patients with autism
  • Current state of comorbidity autism and BPD

Time and place

The conference will take place May 4th and 5th 2026 at Karolinska Institutet, Campus Flemingsberg in Huddinge, Sweden.
